Skate barn is rad for so many reasons... The ramps, the location, and most of all the vibe. The barn has been raging since 87... almost 20 years. The Barn is a tranny skaters paradise with ramps ranging from 3 foot mini bowl (smooth masonite), 6 foot Pool style bowl (kidney) with fast smooth pool coping in the corner, a six foot mini ramp outside with vert extension, and now a new and growing concrete snake run with a deep something like 8-9 feet a, a love seat, and some gnarly hips and pockets. There is ample room and plans for it to grow. There is also a fun street coarse with pyrmid, wallride, bank to curb, a narrow vert wall, a euro gap, and some choicely placed quarter pipes. There is also a rather fatty double set with a Hubba and Handrail and ample run up backed by a 3 ft quarter (speed line!). All in all the Barn is one of my favorite places to skate! Check it out!

Its a great place to skate if youre in the area, if you can make it to Wilmington or are already there, check out the skate parks there. BUt if youre in somewhere around Hampstead (Holly Ridge, Monkey Junction, Sneads Ferry, Topsail) check out Hampstead.

To get to the park you have to now go through Doublewide Skateshop's parking lot. The Old Peanut to Pansy Ln way is closed.

The skate trap
You might as well put the $10 in the gas tank and go to carolina beach to a fun outdoor skatepark that actually has an 8' bowl.
