Only 15 minutes walk or short skate to/from downtown Pape'ete. I highly recommend staying a hostel called Pension Chez Myrna owned by a nice German couple that is on the same exit/road as skatepark. Its difficult to find any reasonably priced accomodations so near Pape'ete, and Chez Myrna is right down the road. A 10 minutes walk gets you cooled off in the Sea after a day of skateboarding in the super heat.
