A skatepark built at a furniture store. A contender for the earliest skatepark ever

Jeff's Furniture was owned and run by the Stone family of Idaho Falls. Jeff Stone -- the store's namesake-- had an eye for gimmicks and began advertising a mysterious attraction at his furniture store in 1965 ("ask your kids!")

Grandaddy Wipeout was a 310 foot long asphalt track with a 9 degree slope built behind the furniture store. Jeff teamed up with a local ice cream restaurant owner and added Doug's Restaurant so patrons could eat and watch skateboarding.

It is believed Grandaddy Wipeout only existed for five months, and there is no photographic evidence of this skatepark yet.
