Juice Movie Nights in Venice Beach – Thrashin’

October 25th I made it down to Venice to check out a really fun movie showing of the legendary skateboard flick ‘Thrashin’. They gathered from near and far at the bar called The Waterfront just down the block from their headquarters.

To open things up I grabbed a beer with one of my best friends Rene Morales who owns Sacrifice Skates. It was a good time to catch up. We soon headed deeper inside to find a really awesome line up of decks and products available in a silent auction. If only I had money to blow I’d have bought many items.

After we looked over the merch we went to the side room with the movie screen and it was filled with people so we grabbed some seats to watch the show. Juice Talks commenced with Dan Levy MC’ing, orchestrating, and raffling off loads of great items. Many left very happy they bought some raffle tickets. Then he got started with interviewing Catherine Hardwicke, who spent some time growing up around Venice, and we learned how she stumbled into making this movie.

DJ BgMx was laying down the vibe in between all the activities. Pause for a Josh Brolin video hi five to everyone watching (He’s the lead character and a big Hollywood actor now) the skate cult classic in Venice.
