Did you know that there's a skatepark on the base at Ft. Lewis? It's not concrete; it's very well-built wooden ramps. There's a six-foot mini ramp with part of one side leading to a mellow flat transition for transfers, and some funbox-type things. When I went there, it was overrun by some rather obnoxious little inline skaters.
