Southern California Skateparks S skateparks 1658
One of the best in Orange County
Other than the combi pool at Vans, this park has by far the best bowl in Orange County for old-school vert skating. The peanut bowl rides like a mini ramp, and the big bowl's multiple sections of 6-8-9ft walls allow you to learn tricks on progressively larger transitions. The transitions are not overly steep, but are just right for the size of each wall, and the large wall's 9 ft tranny to vert is big enough to blast on. Add in the big corners and hips and there are lines a-plenty for any trick you care to do.

The street section sees heavy usage with a couple of stair-sets, rails, and a good layout of banks. This part of the park is almost always filled with skaters.

Cops frequently patrol the area and roust skaters without pads/helmets, especially if they are minors. The overall vibe is great, lots of chronic-smoking teens lurking about are off-set by heavy grom/parent action. Overall my favorite park, and it's free.
