About 60 people helped with the construction of the equipment, City Manager Craig Martin said. Under the direction of Jim Protiva, a sales associate for the manufacturer, volunteers worked from 8 a.m. to nearly 4 p.m. to put together the pieces manufactured by Recreation Resource Co. of Salem and bolt them to the new cement surface
