"Andy Kessler, NYC native and International skateboarding star, skatepark builder, ramp & deck designer and surfer who loved cats and helping others, brought West Coast style to the East Coast in the 70's when he skated with the Zoo York Crew: Our friend, a true sports legend died in 2009 of a wasp sting. He was 48. This announcement of a memorial at NYC has been hoped for more than 4 years. Andy built the first 3 skateparks for NYC Parks Dep't w/ Commisioner Adrian Benepe, one lovely Skatepark at the Woodstock Youth Center, NY, (public), Pine Ridge, SD, Montauk, NY and more. Looking forward to the new look at NYC being done by Sk8108 Crew: Joe Rockman John O'Malley, Ilene Ceng, Ian Clarke, Dan Habu, Jacob Tillman w/ Stacy Fine
