It looks great from Google Earth but it seems that's as close as i'll get. I was so intimidated by the officers at the gate that I didn't even bother asking. It was clear that I was NOT allowed.
Update 9/22/17: I returned with two friends and innocently asked the guard about the skatepark. She hesitated and said she needed to speak with someone else (higher command officer?) who came out, looked at us and the car and said "You must mean the Lexington Skatepark" and gave us directions to which we retorted with "nope, we mean this one." He replied saying no such skatepark existed. He knew that WE knew he was lying. Ass.

I grew up skating this park from 00" - 09" and continue to skate here daily. We have retired and live a town over now. It's the most fun park to go hang out at for the day and the best park within an hour radius. FYI the park does have lights, water , and even restrooms. Helmet is mandatory. Ground is sealcoated super smooth. Flip tricks all day with no razor tail or road rash. All good vibes. Find a friend or family member and get yourself to this park. It's one hell of a fun day with places to eat near by as well.

You need to have a department of defense ID to get in, which means you have to be either active military, retired military, or direct family of the two. It is a government facility after all, and more importantly a damn air force base. You can get on base as long as one person, who must be driving their own car, has a military/DOD ID.
