JW-PARK is privately owned by a winter sports junior college. They open the park to the public on most weekends from April to November, but you should check their homepage for cancellations (which happens often) before trekking out there.

Takamura field in Niigata prefecture 76It is a 2 1/2 to 3 hour trip from Tokyo. Take the bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano. Then change to the local line -Shinetsu Hon Sen.- Get off at Sekiyama Station. From Sekiyama Station it is a 20 min walk or a 5 minute taxi ride. Currently (Oct. 07) you need to buy your entrance ticket (about $15 US) at the convenience store next to the park -- they will give you a wrist band and you can then get into the park.
