Maple Skatepark - Currituck, North Carolina, U.S.A.

  Public Notice: Currituck County Parks & Recreation will hold a public meeting to collect input on the new Maple Skate Park design on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the Currituck Senior Center in Barco, North Carolina. ------------------------------- As of January 2016 Currituck County Maple Skate Park has CLOSED and been demolished to allow for the expansion of the parallel taxiway at Currituck Regional Airport. A new redesigned skatepark facility is included as part of the Softball Field Construction Project due to be completed by the Winter of 2016. Parks and Recreation will be seeking public input at a meeting that will be held prior to construction. Those date will be set when the contract has been finalized. Designs will be presented at the meeting as a starting point for the facility, depending on public feedback the design maybe alter.
