This is excerpt from the guide to Western Skateboard Parks 1978:
FEATURES:
The Flow Motion Skatepark is a one-acre park with another acre reserved for future expansion. It features five bowls, some vertical, and several snake runs that end in bowls. There are areas for the beginner and the advanced skateboarder.
The entire park has a unique "flow motion" effect so you can ride smoothly throughout the entire park, building up speed and winding up near where you started to take on another run. The whole park contains no obstructions, adding to the smooth flow you achieve while riding.
MEMBERSHIP:
A $1.00 annual membership fee is required to ride at Flow Motion. The membership card allows you to purchase admission to the park, which is $2.25 per two-hour session. Sessions start every two hours on the odd hour. All required safety equipment may be rented for 25 cents per item in the pro shop.
FACILITIES:
Flow Motion has an extensively stocked pro shop featuring many top-line skateboard products, including their own Ram Track skateboard trucks. There are occasional bowl riding contests and pro- rider demonstration appearances. The park also has its own five-member skateboard team. Staff personnel are available to give instruction to beginners.
Regular fountain service is on the premises with soft drinks, hot sandwiches, and assorted munchies. The game arcade has nine machines, including pinball, foosball, and sharpshooter. A rocking sound system keeps the action pretty hot at Flow Motion.
