The park was renovated from an old wood park to a state of the art concrete park. Definitely good for tranny riders. The park features the only loopable track in the US. Plus a bowl-less corner, the "Double Dorito" hip and a number of other unique features. The lake is five minutes away from the park for some swimming. There are no lights and the park allows bikes. A big thanks goes to the Highlands Lake Skatepark Association for the years of fund raising to make this park happen.

This place is wild, and kinda has to be seen/ skated to be believed. I was expecting lots of kinks and bad tranny but it was surprisingly smooth. Tons of wacky pieces of marble thrown around the park. Looks like a junkyard of unused or leftover pieces from other jobs. Features you are probably never gonna see anywhere else, and unless you are gnar gnar, are probably not going to be able to skate, like the 2 1/2' wide tombstone with 4' of vert. Unfortunately some spots have a drop off where they poured the flat really close to what you are skating. Worth a stop even if its for a laugh and poser of the month photo op on the loop track.

This park is NUTS! Whether or not that's a good or bad thing you'll have to decide for yourself. Definitely a trip from Austin but if you make it out to this park you will find what could in all likelihood be the most unique park in the state, if not the country. There is so much stuff here that words just don't do it justice. Check all of the pictures and decide for yourself if this park is for you.
