I checked out the Moraga skate park with a friend of mine. It's in the east bay just on the other side of the Caldecott tunnel... I didn't see it on your site, so I thought you'd appreciate some photos...

It's a Wormhout design. The park is pretty small... a triangular shape, a 5ft bowl thats got a hip on one side and bowled on the other. If you're familiar with the Milpitas Vans elbowed mini... imagine that 5ft tall and bowled ends... The bowl is surrounded by a street area with a strange choice of transitions that start on one end and then all of a sudden there are some stairs.. weird... and apparently (according to a mother who was standing there) not a part of the original design. I'm kind of tired of people just ragging on skate parks so my opinion on this one was that it's pretty good.. I'm starting to get old... my knees hurt every time after I skate. I figure my time is limited, so i don't have time to be bummed on any skate park... I'll have fun skating anything at this point.

I had a ton of fun in this bowl.. the cement was very well poured with only minor warps which I had a hard time noticing.

I only recommend this place for the bowl and that's if you live close. I was really hoping this place would be better. I talked to a guy how help with the consrtuction of this park. He said all the stairs were to be banks, but the contractor changed the plans at the last minute and did what he wanted???

The bowl has a excellent roll in, good coping, and it's pretty smooth with fast lines. My only complaint is why do they just build 5' foot tall stuff that goes to vert or almost vert?

Other than the bowl the rest is lame.
