The Buckeye Skatepark is a fairly large, prefab steel set up on a (fairly) smooth concrete slab. I'm not sure exactly who built these; the ramps look a lot like Skatewave ramps, and that's probably all you'll need to know. The obstacles cannot be moved around because they're bolted solidly to the concrete; they are not always oriented in the most sensible of directions; and the concrete slab has some extremely large control joints, making the whole setup a bit challenging to skate, maybe even a bit hazardous in places. Buckeye is also extremely hot and arid in the summertime, which means that the steel gets sizzling hot in the baking sun; make sure to bring sunscreen and lots of water if you're going to skate this anytime between April and October. It's not a particularly good park... it's not even really worth the drive from nearby Phoenix to skate it... but if you happen to be driving right by it for some strange reason, stop in and do a couple of lines to stretch out your muscle bubbles a little bit. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Update 2/4/18: I stopped by this morning to skate the park for a few minutes (I was camping this weekend at nearby Buckeye Hills Regional park this weekend), and noticed that all of the boxes, and one of the quarterpipes had been completely removed from the skatepark. The local kids said that the city had taken them away due to vandalism (?), so only about half of what you see in the pics is still there. -Bud Stratford, Everything Skateboarding/Concrete Disciples, February 2018 ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Update 12/27/18: I stopped by a couple weeks back, and found that now *everything* has been completely removed from the skatepark. The local kids said that the city was planning on replacing it with a full-on, concrete skatepark. Let's hope for the very best for this one! -Bud Stratford, Everything Skateboarding/Concrete Disciples, December 2018

Its a pretty average pre-fab park, maybe slightly better then most because it has more stuff to ride.
