Ludington Skate Plaza

Well, It looks like a functional skatepark (from a distance). Built by the company that helped pour the flat sections of the Grand Haven Park (apparently the convinced the city of Ludington that they could do a whole park by themselves- they were wrong). This park is something you might have seen built ten years ago (and not in a good way). It reminds me a lot of the park at 31st Street in Chicago, poorly laid out, bad transitions, some elements are virtually un-skatable and the finish/coping-set is inconsistent.

A note to other communities- please don't spend your money with local contractors that say that they can build a skatepark! Hire a skatepark design/build company!
