The Skatepark was updated and made a little bigger with some new street course elements.

Opened July 1991. It's concrete outdoors on a beach, and hosts a sick pro contest every summer. Check out the 'Official website of Marseille Skatepark'.

I'm giving highest overall rating because of the atmosphere and history. It is a legendary skatepark and has supported a couple generations of skateboarders up to date.

I had a fantastic time here, the locals were cool and it wasn't nearly as slick as I had been lead to believe, Really interesting and FAST lines to be found and in general a transition paradise. I rated this park a 3 for street, apparently this ranking was a little high, because not only is there a small, and to some extent rough, street course not often depicted in photos of the park but there is also a small street course less that 2 minutes north of the park by the shops. This is overall a completely rad park, the tranny, particularly in the deep sections, is a little on the mellow side but you can't beat a legendary concrete park on the beach in the south of France!

A few details for visitors:
-Try to come on a weekday. AVOID if possible Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons, especially if the weather is nice. The park will be filled with everything from scooters to football players ruining your visit. It is important to have time and space to work out the million lines this park has to offer. Evening sessions are often good, but the lights have to work.
-Be ready for pebbles, sand, broken glass, urine, burnt garbage, vomit, etc. at any time. The local city guys clean out the bowls pretty well, but the park gets vandalized by all kinds of parasites on a regular basis. If the skateshop (XOXO) in front of the park is open, try to borrow a broom if you need one.
-Keep your valuables like phone, camera etc close to you all the time.
