FEATURES:
The Wild Wheels Skateboard Park is spread out over one acre. A 120' snake run empties into a 10' deep bowl, and a half pipe 22' across drops into a 12' deep bowl with plenty of vertical. A semimogul run, about 200' long, drops into a freestyle area 60' by 100'. The freestyle area has 5' banks all around, and one corner drops off into an 8' deep freestyle bowl.
The park is well laid out and fully landscaped, with more runs being planned for the near future.
MEMBERSHIP:
The lifetime membership costs $3.00 and is required of all persons riding in the park. The fee includes a photo ID card, one free session, and a 10 percent dis- count in the pro shop.
The admission charge is $1.00 per hour and sessions last for two hours. Sessions start every two hours on the even hour. All necessary safety gear may be rented in the pro shop for 25 cents per item.
FACILITIES:
The pro shop is well stocked with high-quality skate- boarding equipment, and is geared to all levels of proficiency. T-shirts are also carried. Every Friday after- noon, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a safety clinic is given, along with lessons for beginners. Amateur contests are also sponsored occasionally by the management and various area civic groups. Check with the pro shop for information on how to organize competition for your group, as some recognized groups can waive member- ship requirements.
Vending machines are on the premises and a family fast-food restaurant is located next door. There is a covered patio area in which to eat or just to sit and watch the action. Every Thursday night from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. is Ladies' Night, and all ladies with memberships can skate free.
The park also has a game room with ten pinball and six video games.
