Chick and Hawk Restaurant Open in Encinitas.
Skate legend meets chicken legend by @northcounty_sd
Get ready, Encinitas—this one’s been years in the making. Chef Andrew Bachelier (you might know him from Campfire or Jeune et Jolie) is teaming up with none other than Tony Hawk to bring Chick & Hawk to life. Yes, that Tony Hawk.
Set to open this June just east of the Leucadia train tracks, this spot is bringing serious flavor and even more personality. Think Nashville hot chicken, Cali-style—with a menu that includes gourmet fried chicken sandwiches (say hello to “The Birdman”), buckets of crispy joy, seafood surprises, and even a caviar dip with house-made chips.

And the space? A full-on skate culture vibe—with pool coping as the bar, skate videos on the screens, and a patio that feels like you’re sitting in a giant skate bowl.
Chef-driven meets skate-inspired. Local roots, national legends. We’ll see you in line.
Encinitas, Summer 2025
