AT&T’s On the Road with Paul Rodriguez

Meet Paul Rodriguez:

At only 14, Paul Rodriguez, also know as P-Rod, was recognized as a protégé in the world of skateboarding. Now at the age of 27, he has established himself as an icon in the worlds of professional skateboarding and action sports, business, and philanthropy.

Paul is a 3-time X Games Gold Medalist with a huge list of competitive achievements. In 2005, he became the first ever skateboarder to receive a Nike signature model shoe, the Nike SB Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez. Not only that – but he has the distinction of being the first Hispanic to ever receive a Nike signature shoe. In 2008, Paul added entrepreneurship to his resume when he opened Primitive, his Woodland Hills-based skateboard and sneaker shop. Through his Paul Rodriguez Skateboarding Foundation and his involvement with the non-profit Stoked, Paul gives back to the community – opening skate parks and making the sport more accessible.

When he’s not skating, working, filming, traveling, building skate parks, or designing new shoes for Nike, Paul simply enjoys hanging at home in LA with his family and friends. It’s his grounded, accessible style and personality that make him a huge favorite with fans. That – and he’s always willing to sign an autograph.

Here’s Your Chance:

AT&T is looking for a young, talented, and creative aspiring skateboarding, action sports, or documentary filmmaker to help concept, direct, and generally produce an original short film that features Paul Rodriguez.

If you’re between 18 and 24 and you have the filmmaking skills, the style, and the vision for an amazing new P-Rod film project, we’d like to see what you’ve got. The selected filmmaker will have the chance to work as part of a professional crew and co-direct an LA-based video featuring this skater, actor, shop owner, shoe and skate park designer, and X Games winner. The video will be featured on AT&T’s U-verse, YouTube, and a whole bunch of other places too.

This is your chance to have a hands-on production experience and be a part of a real professional crew. It’s a paid assignment (a real job) so you have to apply. If you get the job, you’re going to work pretty hard and have a lot of fun. In addition to the money and opportunity to work with P-Rod, you’ll get a new Nokia Lumia 900, and a bunch of other swag.

So if it all sound good to you – visit http://social.att.com/prod to apply.
