Day 1 : All the usual vert skaters were in the place trying to unrust themselves and enjoy a day when the stadium wasn’t
crowded with onlookers watching everyone suck on the vert ramp. Then all of a sudden WHACK!!! The Ski jump ramp into the air
bags gave way and there was one mangled looking skier who was ” NOT ALRIGHT!” He did eventually get up and walk away. He was hurting though! Of other note… The sticker whores were out in mass raiding each booth in there path.
When will they learn not to put up advertisements for all these corporations? And what happened to originality ? – All the Snowboard Booths looked ridiculously the same! ( Sofa for hanging out on, TV with video’s playing, Nintendo or Sega plugged in, the same looking product on the same looking shelves….etc… you get my point?

Day 2 : Kevin Staab & the Seattle vert Dogs started putting on the show for the meager crowds, still a little rusty but thing are getting better.
Alex N., Mark Hubbard, Davey Rogers, Moe, Mike Swim, Billy, Ben B, Kevin C., Marcus, et. all were skating and having a good time even with the BMX on the ramp.

Day 3 : Much bigger crowd as it was Saturday. More vert, sore muscles, give us some beer. Too Late! I slam and am out, ( see the photo on the What’s hot page) then I get the Staab interview. Watch more ripping then go home in pain.

Day 4 : I get there and a nice mellow session is going down. The locals seem pretty tired yet very glad to have this opportunity to brush off the rust and skate the big stuff in their home city. (We need a vert ramp in Seattle ALREADY!… Not that everyone doesn’t know that already.) The Snowboard Booths are all coming down early…time for another show in another town . Sad to know the ramp will
be gone as of tonight.

I just have 3 thanx to throw out. 1. Airwalk for bringing in the ramp again and letting all the locals get to skate. #2 Kevin Cortez for making sure #1 took place. #3 Kevin Staab for the interview, although he was paid back with some wild nights in Seattle…just ask him!
