(9/8/2006)
Kona (Jacksonville FL) has completely redone their pool. It is fuckin' sweet. Unfortunately I can't tell you much about it because at the time I had only a few months under my belt of pool riding. I'm ready for her now. The concrete they used is smooth as glass with a beautiful tiling job at the top portion of the vert for that fantastic "clickity-clack". I wasn't hitting coping at the time but the guys who taught me how to ride were lovin' it. They rode the pool all freakin' day long. The shallow end transition was a bit quick for rockin' rolls but negotiable. Pics of it can be seen on the Kona website under pool renovation on the photos link. A couple of new fun boxes up too.

Brand new street course, plus a kiddie-sized street course. The cement park rocks, esp for longboards! Brand new huge half pipe - 15' high, with 10' higher roll-in, probably 40' wide. Old school pool, left over from the 70's. Great bowl. Nice transitions.
