Jeff & CD Crew -
First - this is not the same as the Academy Skatepark in Glastonbury, CT.
This is a new, Team Paine-built indoor masterpiece. Its covers 18,000 sq. ft. with a huge street area, including a big bank, all kinds of ledges, an 8 stair with a rail, and an 80' long miniramp. Everything is surfaced in birch ply and is smooth, grippy & fast. The mini has an 8' high extension and on the other end it tapers up to around 6.5'. The middle section is around 5'. $10 a session, helmets required, and its usually open from 1 PM until 10 PM. And no bikes!

..and now they are out of business. BMX could of brought in a solid 50% more income each month...which they realized toward the end when they started letting bikes in. Too bad! |
