You are probably familiar with the Burnside story, but here's a breif recap... The skaters started building a couple obstacles in a run down drug addict infested part of town. They wanted more and were given the ok by the city to build out the skatepark. It has been built entirely by the local skaters and with no funding except the occasional donation from a skate company to fix things up. The drug addicts moved on so the city was stoked. LONG LIVE BURNSIDE!
Now its shredded daily by the local talent. It's been in better shape in the past, but it has stood strong as one of the worlds best skateparks for quite some time.
