Shane Cox.
Under rated and under the radar .... not anymore.
Shane hails from Costa Mesa. A town that's got more then it's fair share of shredders. It's easy to get overlooked. Shane grew up, surfing in the morning, skating during the day and (if the waves were good ) surfing in the afternoon.

He credits his long time friend Ryan Renosa with everything he knows about skateboarding they learned together growing up.
Shane was pretty much a street skater and well on his way when a severe injury took him out for a couple of years.

Once he healed , he could no longer take the impact of street skating. That's when Shane decided to ride transition.

Shane rides for House Of Kasai. He is one of the original team riders and remembers riding blank decks with just the stencil of the oak leaf.

He compliments his fellow team riders and says Nolan Johnson is his favorite skater. When asked where he likes to skate, he says Channel street , Belvedere, Chino, and Etnies. It just so happens Shane works for Sole Tech. and hits Etnies for lunch. I asked if he had a shoe hook up and he laughed. " Yeah, I'm lucky. I'm sample size and that works out really well."

I created the quicksix with skaters like Shane in mind. Sure I'll do a Quicksix on Grosso or some other big pro but it's also a place for me to showcase the everyday rippers that are all around us. Here's one last pic

Thank you Shane for the photo opps. Keep on ripping!
