The vibe is incredible. You think you are in the wrong place and then IZHadthere it is. Very cool tile all over the place, great details all over the place. Giant features everywhere. For a small area, everything is used and then some. You will be blown away!

You could spend days here. Great scene, the locals were great and the concrete is really, really good. But it is really busy with lots of riders and hundreds of tourists. Bring the A game because there will be an audience.... but man is it worth it!

A local artist just threw done some really cool concrete stain art work in flow area which is worth seeing. So make the drive for a great flow area. It's plenty big, wide open but with plenty of spots to get that speed way up. The pockets are are awesome to fly into. With the great beginner area it really keeps everyone seperated so you don't worry about wping out groms on scooters. If you love the flow definitly go you will have a blast!!!

Overall this place is a lot of fun! If you have seen the videos the locals have posted on CD you can really see the potential of this park and the fun that can be had. The pool is reallllly good, that alone makes it worth a stop. Not a great park but a really fun one!

Darn it all!! Why didn't they have this in the eighties when I lived there? The closest thing to a bank we had was the transitions we poured in irrigation ditches. I loved the snake run, took about 8 runs to really start to figure out the lines (and two epic slams at the bottom) but when it came together it was GREAT!! If you are going up I-5 do yourself a favor and swing in for the day!! And is you are a street guy... stop at medford...

What's there?

Lots of concrete that packed in super tight.This park is pretty lame. Too much stuff in too small a space, making it very difficult to use anything the way it's supposed to be used. The bowl is about 2 feet deep and another worthless example of some one who doesn't skate thinking this would be cool. Locals to the surrounding area say the cops that patrol San Dimas are the worst in the business citing anyone and everyone for not wearing pads. Fuck Them!

Free, Concrete, Outdoors and just a little over 12,000 square feet. I think this park is pretty good in most areas. Good Trannies, good coping, good street ledges and rails. The street 'bowl' area has a few design flaws. There's a 20' long piece of quarter pipe you can't use because the ledge runs straight across it at the bottom, there is another WALL about that long on the opposite side, and lastly the pyramid is barely noticeable it's so flat! There is a great 10 stair handrail and ledge though. The bowl is pretty good and spines into the street course, although the waterfall could have been a lot better.

This park is sick! You definitely want to check this one out.

The bowls, they are vert. The round bowl is about 9 1/2 ft kinda small but easy to ride. Theres not really any flat so the lip radius is tight. It is like the Skatelab bowl with another foot of height.

The square is probably 10 1/2 ft maybe 11. More vert and some flat so it can be half piped, but most use it to return through the pipe. NO one checks to see if anyone is dropping in from down there at the other end of the bowl.

There is a ton of street stuff. Ledges, stairs, planters, banks, manual pads, etc.

There a also 2 snake/ditch runs. They are pretty fun too. I have not hit them much because they have been too crowded.

This is a must ride park.

Santa Barbara Skatepark is a fairly typical landscape architect designed park. There is nothing that sets this place apart from most other parks except the amount of ledges. They are everywhere. The bowl gets almost 6 feet deep and has good coping and transitions. (At least they've gotten better at that) The pyramid in the middle is real good. All in all it's a fun park but only covers the beginners to intermediate riders needs.

If you go early on a weekend beware of Grom hours. Call first. The U bowl is a covered U pipe that spills into a bowl on one end and a two pocket bowl on the other. It is good for the vert fans.
If you start at the top of the park, there is a little halfpipe snake that flows into a brick stamped section around a big 4 type thing into a ditch section which sends you into a section with different sized walls and a planter 1/4 pipe.
There is a "stage" in the middle with ledges, wedges and euros.

I would rather put my testicles in a vice than go here again. Lot's of pad enforcing pigs too!

Long crazy snake run that ends in a cradle. There is a pool with hand molded, chunk coping. There used to be shallow stairs but they got removed. The "street" area (if you can call it that) is densely populated and has lots of wedges and up/down rampage. I don't knew who poured this thing, but their vision was on the right track. Last time I went there, they charged me $5 and there was a padnanny. It was a few years ago.

I liked this park despite a lot of trash talk I have heard about it. The pool is funky and a little kinky, but better than most pools from it's time. The flow bowl area is large and limitless. The rest of the park offers small obstacles that will keep you entertained briefly.
***Downtown from there, there is a bar on the corner with liquor in the front and poker in the back! really.

There is nothing too big or much to really distinguish it from other parks. The whole park flows together, so if you can get it to yourself it is a lot more fun. It gets crowded and there are a lot of collisions. Still fun regardless. Don't drive to far to get to this one.

The description above explains this park well. Worth the drive if you are within an hour. The pool has bricks for tiles and is smooth and fast. The bowl is funky but can be figured out. The street area offers some steep banks/wall rides. The rest of the actual park is really nice too.

This is what every skatepark should feel like. It has an organic feeling to it. You just keep rolling and rolling and rolling. So many little whips and banks and trannys around the outside of a sick, pool tranny pool and a big smooth, clean flow bowl. The surrounding park allows picnics and beer, but the pigs roll by often and hang out looking for pad violations. The park is my fave in CA.

The pool is real whippy and fun. The tranny course is not bad, fun to be had. A downhill into a 1/4 that people are ripping. Cute chick skaters that can shred too.

I am giving it a 5 because it is enormous. There are like 7-8 different sections to skate. The oververt half pipe section is great. The peanut pool is my favorite. There is an egg pool that is retarded. Wally overcompensated for something there. There is beginner stuff, old dude stuff, street, and some really ugly artwork to greet you at the door.

I always stop here to break up the driving. It is pretty close to highway and there is enough privacy that you can drink a beer or whatever. The bowl is much different than described above. I'd say it goes from 4' down to maybe 6, 6.5' Not even close to 12' or even 9' for that matter. You can cruise with one push and there is some real small lumps and bumps to play on in the back. Nice quarters, locals are cool.

It'll keep you entertained for a little while. It's getting older and rougher and there are better parks to find. But if you want to stretch your legs out. Give it a ride.
