The mortar jam came to life from a find on the craigslist. A nice old lady was giving away a parking pole for free. Alex took the pole to his dad's machine shop, cut it at the 45 degree angle, added the support and then we bolted her in with two 5 inch anchor bolts and 2 part epoxy.
