The new Moorpark skatepark is scheduled to open this Saturday.
Joe Ciaglia of California Skateparks asked me to come out and shoot some pics. (Thanks Joe!) I'm always stoked on these opportunities. Lance, Skreech, Josh,and Cholo joined me for a little pre opening session.
Lance designed this bowl after the Buddah pool . A popular back yarder in the 70's.
Lance's version.
It's fast and fun. It's got a death box, a love seat, ladder , and shallow end stairs.
Shallow end.
The bowl is topped with Golden State coping.
The ladder steps.
The hip is sharp and Skreech was killing it.
He also handled the Love seat in classic Skreech form.
The park has something for everyone. From a stair set rail to a over vert pocket in the flow bowl.
The flow bowl also has a huge extension shaped like an M. as in Moorpark. Get it? 
Cholo Bean plant transfer.
Skreech hits the M.
Here's an overview
We spent most of our time at the pool.
A game of skate went down.
Josh Borden thru down a crail knowing Lance doesn't do them.
Lance laughed and said he hadn't done one in years. They use to goof on it. Well, here's a rare photo. Lance doing a crail.
The MVP was Skreech. He just ripped this pool. He was stoked on it.
Ollie in the shallow end
Lance designed the pool and Scott Rice did the rest of the park. Props. California Skateparks did the build and it's near perfect.
The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday. Go skate this park. It's a good one! Here's some info on the opening.
Poindexter Park Skatepark and Expansion Grand Opening
Saturday, December 5th, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Festivities will include a dedication ceremony, skate vendors, live music, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, and a food booth. Everyone is invited and we hope you will join us!

SWEET! Thanks for the pics. The first one of the pool is pure art. All of this 'crete must be really bummin' out Greenwood.

thx for the pics MRZ! those are so out of control really showing the park and how crazy the skaters are. I look forward to riding the masterpiece!!

that whole park looks sick
the bowl has all the obstacles
and that m looks pretty fun but as soon as i saw it i thought one thing

That pool looks sick! The tranny in the shallow end looks really quick and steep. Is it more like a back yard pool tranny and how deep is the pool? And like always nice pics Ray!
