My friends Roy and Candice came out for a weekend of skating and I'm still processing images. We hit ridiculous and Roy wasted no time. Right away he attacked the stairs. It's a short list of regular footers that have made it. Gnar.
It took a few attempts. You can almost see in the sequence that he just clips the stair on the way in. He rolled away "Raunchy".
Yeah buddy!

He clipped the stair on the way in and the ending may not have been pretty, but he stayed on. Push up? Whatever. It's still Gnar.

Bad ass. Stairs are tuff enough to deal with, but when you have a big middle finger worth of concrete sticking out like that it's a different story. it's like the stairs are saying, "fuck you, just try me..."
sick anyway you slice it, push up or not...

I just dropped in straight at it from the deep end. That gave me plenty of speed, but I can see that there is a carve line that will work too.

The park is in Sprague, CT but some people will call it Baltic- I guess they're neighbors. If you're gonna be in groton, you can hit Groton, Norwich, Sprague, and Dayville all in one day if you don't spend too long at each. I don't remember the names of the roads any of the parks are on.. I remember sprague and dayville both being on like one of three roads in the town, they're both in rec parks.

The VSL (very short list):
Aaron Astorga, Zask, Tyco (i think), Chad Bartie (feeble), Partain (fs 50/50), Skreech, Adam 12, Roy, and Peter Hewitt (fs). Salba has made it over several times & slid out or clipped coming down....uhm, I watched Guy Mariano bs ollie the wedding cake to BS lip the stick....that was crazy... Kevin Burke did them & Jake Reuter boardslid the stack. Thats it, I think. Ozzie

I think I got everyone. If there is anyone else that made it over, let us know. The pool was painted with the 'tennis lines' because the paint was dark & it was difficult to judge the transitions while skating. The lines made it easier to see & we kinda liked it... Ozzie
