I live in a small trailer off killingsworth by the aiport. 345 dollars a month. It sucks! The advantage is its 5 minutes tops to glenhaven and 5 minutes to the library with the free internet access and its in portland. well if you have a car anywhere in portland is fine there is glenhaven, ed benedict, burnside, Pier park, gabriel, holly farm, dos or epic if its raining. Battle ground washington is not far from portland at all at it kicks ass! As far as cheap rent check craigslist. Cool shit wise there are bars EVERYWHERE titty, sports and other wise and there are always tons of bands playing, shows etc. I have probably said too much. Its a little cold out today but the sun is shining. I think it is almost time to go skate glenhaven and or battleground.

---just because I am paranoid and have multiple personalities, it doesnt mean that I am not out to get me---

Basturd

I will admit that its pretty cool getting to see regular park destruction by talented freaks round here...Chet Childress showed up with Omar, Steven Reeves and some randoms at Tigard today. Omar Hassan is a bad mofo. Apparently he's moved to Portland? Skate school was in session, super rippers.

To the op - plenty of skate spots, minimal cheap rent and even less jobs. Relentless rain from November through May. If that works for you, welcome to town

North Portland/St. John's area is the new cheap spot where all the skaters are moving to. Check the area out.

Portland is awesome, you'll be stoked! Don't worry about the rain, there's still stuff to skate.

I lived in St. Johns for 5 months, and worked at the McMen. Pub there. It was pretty sweet, even though Pier Park wasn't there yet. I used to go to that park everyday. Portland is awesome, I would have stayed there is I could have found a better job. Definitely one of the best areas in the country, especially if you are a skater or a fan of beer.

Oregonians are California haters! (and I can't blame them for that).
