The Hunns & TSOL

The Hunns

Corey Parks fires one off
I had nothing better to do on Sunday then get vibed by my wife so I decided to run out of the house and go catch this awesome free show in Hollywood. It's not a good thing for the relationship, but at least my Sunday wasn't a total waste. I got there a little late and I heard the Hunns already playing. It was 6:15 and if your wondering why it was so early it's because this whole concert was used to film for some upcoming t.v. show. I was really impressed by how good the Hunns sounded. I am used to seeing them in shacks and small clubs, but this place was opened up and really punched up their sound to perfection. I ran up stairs to check out the place and snap an overview shot. Off the balcony I watched most of their set. The Corey Parks fireball came into play as I never expected to be directly above one. She did the second one right below me (see picture) and there was a gnarly heat blast from it. Luckily I left my camera in there long enough to get the photo. What else can I say man, this band is one of my favorites and they rocked the place.

TSOL and Duane Peters rock the stage

TSOL's Grisham and Emory
After Duane Peters and the Hunns were finished wrecking the joint TSOL came on and had the stage all prettied up once again. Once Duane got back out there, to sing and dance along with TSOL, about midway through the set it was all messed up again and before the next song would be played:
Grisham asked Duane:
"Duane - get one of your boys out here to clean this up"
Duane's reply:
"Hey Boy's get out here and clean this up"
The comedy ensued as Grisham waited for the stage to be cleansed of beer. Grisham's stand up act isn't half bad, and as the crowd got more rambunctious so did his insults. Funny Stuff! Finally they get back to playing their kick-ass set and the pit gets really pumped up. Feeding off each other, the band and crowd were really into it and it was a great show to be at.
