The Nicoteens - How to cure a Hangover! Ear-Pollution Show
January 30th, 2006 22:29

The Nicoteens are Punk Rock. Punk Rock can be pretty grating when you have a hurtin head from the previous nights hangover. How does one hungover individual cope with the prospect of loud music, smokey bar, freezing cold weather, and some good old fashioned pain in the ass? After a couple pints of Hemp Ale at the Ole Town Pub in Pasadena CA these pesky annoyances quickly fade out and Mr. Good Times, who has been patiently waiting for you, jumps back on the scene.

Because the opening duo are totally 80's to the extreme The Walrus threatens to pull out his eye liner and sings us some songs from OMD or some other 80's fluff bands. Man, the Walrus is one crazy dude! He loves the 80's synth scene so he's hesitant to criticize the flambouyant singer in his Red Leather outfit with Red Kilt. But we all bought a round and spent the night with a few of our friends' girls friends (weird eh? - yes) It's all cool though we had a kick ass time.

Once the Nicoteen made it to the stage we were relatively primed to enjoy some old fashioned Punk Rock, my favorite kind. The band was partying too! I even sang along to the chorus of "Pukin, all over you, I'm Pukin All over you!" Fuck! That was fun! Great show!

So that's how you can cure your hangover in a nutshell. Go party some more! The only real problem I had was the next day I was right back where I started. Now check out the guitarist. You may know him as 5tall. He moonlights as Concrete Disciples Product Review guy! Mad Props!
