Complete Control/Krum Bums split CD EP Ear-Pollution CD
July 20th, 2006 20:26
Holy shit, so let me tell you about this little deal here. I was sitting here, getting my evening drunk on and looking at some art on the interweb (I am a closet art fag) with the old lady, right? So we are checking out Don's latest art up on his website, and I decide to add a little sound to even out the whole experience. I popped on this split CD that I got in the mail today, and it's good enough that I have to write about it right now. Drunk. So, fuck the diction and grammar, let's give this a go. I reckon that this is the modern version of a split 7" since nobody has record players anymore. Pretty smart, actually. So, yeah, the first band up on this piece is Complete Control, whose name really sounds like a punk song that I can't quite dredge up right now. The Clash? Aww, fuck, I don't know. But anyway, they are pretty good and all, pretty much what you would expect from a hardcore band, but nothing that really lights my jock strap on fire, you know what I mean? And then, holy shit! The second half of the EP kicks off with Krum Bums, the band with the worst name since I don't know, but they really got my attention. So much so that I am postponing the inevitable drunken stumble off to bed just to write this while my feelings are still fresh. And drunk. So here you go. Massive props to these guys for getting my attention when I am sooooo ready to automatically hate any punk/hardcore/metal that comes my way anymore. Punk bands are a dime-a-dozen nowadays, and you gotta really come up with something good to get my attention. And they have it. Nuf' said. Go buy or die. Man, I ramble when I am drunk. At least I can still spell.
