No Bullshit Vol. 1 - No Way Records Ear-Pollution CD
May 20th, 2006 17:09
Coming off of Now Way Records from Richmond, Va is No Bullshit #1. It's a 7" (vinyl) compilation with a theme of short, fast, no bullshit, hardcore punk. The first volume includes Career Suicide (Canada), Bad Dirty Hate (Japan), Government Warning and Direct Control (Both from Richmond, Va), and Strung up (Bay Area, Ca). The record takes off with Career Suicide's song conveniently titled "No Bullshit". This song is my personal favorite off the album and it fucking rips. It then breaks into Bad Dirty Hate from Japan whom I had never heard before and weren't bad but didn't excite me. Next up is Government Warning who are sick as fuck! Their track "See The Truth" is a full speed blast of hardcore punk. Flip the record over and the B side starts off with 2 songs from Strung Up of the Bay Area (S.F./Oakland). These dudes are sick, both songs rip and they're cool dudes. Ending the record is Direct Control...not much needs to be said about these dudes, you should know that they awesome, if not pull your head out of the stove and check 'em out. No Bullshit Vol. 1 delivers what it promises and there are more volumes on the way so keep an arm and a toenail and maybe even someone elses eyes out for the next one.
