"Hey!  That's our guy!"  - Steve Caballero- tweaking one out over San Jose

November 1991. Scope Arena, Norfolk Virginia. I was down for a "Wheels For Wishes' contest. I had driven down with friends to watch and cheer on Buster Halterman. He had just been turned pro by Chris Miller's - Planet Earth. Miller, Congelliere, Salisian, Schneer and others were ripping the ramp apart...  it was epic. I was really hungry and walked across the street to a McDonalds. I ordered something and was waiting for my food. When I looked over, Stevie Cab was standing there. He had on a black leather jacket and Cab Vans hi-tops...  I remember thinking- "Whoa! Cab eats at McDonalds!?" Such were my thoughts at the time. I spoke with him briefly about the contest and where he was headed after it. He was super nice, humble and friendly. Here we are, 20 years later and I am packing my stuff together. I am getting ready to meet up with the Powell Peralta team for breakfast and then go cheer on Cab at the Tim Brauch Memorial Contest. Life is pretty awesome...  and strange sometimes. If you would've told me that I'd be where I am in 20 years, I would've never believed it! Anyway, yesterday was spent helping the team get some street footage and we drove around SF all day checking spots and watching incredible skateboarding. We lit up a few spots with the generator last night and Aldrin & Jordan both did some 'Never Been Done' level stuff!  Awesome. I need to get rolling. Contest day....  Skate- Ozzie
